“Shatta Wale won’t be the last; more artists will be arrested” – Blakk Rasta warns colleagues
“Shatta Wale won’t be the last; more artists will be arrested” - Blakk Rasta warns colleagues

Following Shatta Wale’s detention by EOCO over his 2019 Lamborghini Urus, which is suspected to be linked to proceeds of fraud, media personality Blakk Rasta has claimed that the Dancehall artiste will not be the only one to face such scrutiny.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Blakk Rasta said the case involving Shatta Wale marks the beginning of a larger investigation that could implicate more names from Ghana’s music industry.
“This is not the end of artistes involved in criminal activities including car theft, buying stolen cars and buying objects. There are more artistes from Ghana that are going to come up in this. Shatta is not the only artiste. I feel like mentioning names but I would not. There are some other people in the pipeline and when you look at their modus operandi, they are not supposed to be called artistes,” Blakk Rasta stated.
According to him, some artistes are deeply involved in criminal activities, and their actions show they are “more aligned with crime than with artistry.”
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has been released from EOCO custody after spending nearly 24 hours in detention. His management confirmed that his initial bail conditions—set at GH¢10 million with two sureties—were reviewed and reduced to GH¢5 million with two sureties, enabling him to return home.
“The good news is that he has been granted bail and has been released to go home. The bail condition was reviewed from GH¢10 million to GH¢5 million with two sureties and that is what we are all happy about,” Shatta Wale’s media manager, Sammy Flex, told the media on August 21, 2025.
