I don’t have a pesewa for you; your case won’t go anywhere – Afia Schwarzenegger replies to Sammy Gyamfi’s lawsuit

Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has boldly dismissed the GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD), in a fiery social media video posted on July 23, 2025.

Refusing to back down, Afia compared the case to that of Kevin Taylor, the outspoken social commentator, stating:

“Have you seen how Kevin Taylor’s case went? That is the same way our case would go. Kevin Taylor has insulted Otumfuo, Chief Imam, yet he walks free.”

Afia insisted she owes Gyamfi nothing, adding that even if he wins, she has no property or money in Ghana for him to claim.

“Sammy Gyamfi, go to hell. Go and receive a defunct judgment. You have won the case. I don’t have a pesewa in Ghana for you to take.”

The comments come just hours after Sammy Gyamfi sued her for defamation, requesting GH¢10 million in damages, a restraining order, and public apologies in national media.
