Foreign Affairs Minister tells Rocky Dawuni, Wodemaya, and others to continue shining the Black Star

The Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has presented diplomatic passports to five distinguished Ghanaian creatives to facilitate their efforts in showcasing Ghana’s image globally.

These notable individuals, renowned in the creative space, are Wodemaya, Rocky Dawuni, Anita Erskine, Dentaa, and Ibrahim Mahama.

The Minister, in presenting the passports, acknowledged the significant contributions these individuals have made through their art forms to promote Ghana’s image and urged them to continue upholding the country’s good name.

The Minister highlighted the significance of their art forms and their relevance to the upcoming 2025 Diaspora Summit, scheduled to take place from 19th to 20th December 2025 in Accra, Ghana.

He stated on his X page that presenting Ghana’s cherished diplomatic passports to our five extraordinary patriots was a profound honour.

Hearty congratulations are in order for Wodemaya, Lady Dentaa Amoateng, Rocky Dawuni, Anita Erskine, and Ibrahim Mahama. Ghana is exceedingly proud of your accomplishments. May you continue to shine brightly, upholding the dignity of the Black Star. For God and Country.

The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, highlighted the impressive achievements of these individuals over the years, commending their unwavering dedication to promoting Ghana.

Anita Erskine, speaking on behalf of fellow creatives who received Diplomatic Passports, expressed gratitude for the honor and pledged to proudly represent Ghana globally.

Notable attendees included the Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu, and other esteemed Directors of the Ministry.
