IGP promotes 17 police officers for exemplary service

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has conferred promotions on 17 officers, including two senior officers, in recognition of their outstanding conduct and unwavering dedication to duty.

The promotions were granted in appreciation of the officers’ exceptional performance, particularly their commitment to operational excellence, discipline, and service to the nation.

A press release copied to the Ghana News Agency stated that the gesture was part of the Service’s broader efforts to incentivize personnel who exhibited remarkable commitment and integrity in the line of duty. IGP Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to view the elevation as a call to greater responsibility, leadership, and accountability.

The statement encouraged all personnel of the Service to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism, loyalty, and service to the public.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to recognizing merit and rewarding excellence as a means of strengthening morale and enhancing effective policing nationwide.
