The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has made public the approved fees for the University of Ghana for the 2025/2026 academic year, with the objective of providing clarity and resolving concerns regarding the institution’s fee structure.

In a statement released on Monday, January 12, and signed by the Director General Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, GTEC indicated that the Academic Facility User Fee will be maintained at the 2024/2025 rate, ensuring no increase for students.

Other fees include:

  • Student Representative Council (SRC) dues of GH₵50,
  • SRC Development Levy of GH₵150,
  • Graduate Students (GRASAG) Development Levy of GH₵250,
  • Telecel Broadband Levy of GH₵122, applicable to undergraduate students, including freshmen.

The statement disclosed a 75th Anniversary Levy of GH₵100, applicable only for the 2025/2026 academic year, with no expectation of continuation.

GTEC underscored the need for students to be aware of their rights, including opting out of specific levies. The Commission saw the release as a step towards ensuring transparency and compliance across the university.

“This announcement seeks to resolve issues surrounding the 2025/2026 fee schedule for the University of Ghana. We are counting on the usual cooperation of all stakeholders to implement it effectively,” the statement added.
