President Mahama leaves Ghana for Davos and UK meetings

President John Dramani Mahama has left Ghana for the United Kingdom and Switzerland to attend high-level meetings and the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The President departed Accra on Sunday, January 11, 2026. His first stop is the United Kingdom, where he will meet coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative to discuss plans aimed at Ghana’s national development and reform agenda.
After the UK meetings, President Mahama will travel to Davos, Switzerland, to take part in a session of the World Economic Forum, which brings together world leaders, business executives and policy experts to discuss global economic issues.
On the sidelines of the Davos Forum, the President is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with some world leaders to strengthen Ghana’s international relations and explore areas of cooperation.
The information was contained in a statement issued by the Minister of Government Communications and Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who is also the Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese.
