‘Give Bosom P-Yung his flowers’ — Black Sherif credits P-Yung for shaping today’s GH hip-hop sound
Award-winning musician Black Sherif has praised Bosom P-Yung as one of the major forces behind the modern Ghanaian Hip-Hop sound.
Speaking on Sincerely Accra on December 2, 2025, Black Sherif said Bosom P-Yung’s creativity has influenced many artistes — knowingly or unknowingly — and deserves proper recognition.
According to him, much of today’s Hip-Hop style in Ghana draws heavily from Bosom P-Yung’s unique sound and artistic approach.
Black Sherif added that he has long studied the evolution of the genre and firmly believes P-Yung is one of its key influencers.
His comments have sparked discussion among music fans, many of whom agree with the “So It Goes” hitmaker’s assessment.
