Hon. Rev. Kweku Addo, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, paid a visit to a young woman injured during the recent stampede at the El-Wak Stadium, which occurred during a Ghana Armed Forces recruitment drive.

The event drew thousands of applicants, but ultimately descended into chaos due to crowd pressure, resulting in multiple injuries.

The MP met with the victim at her residence, where she is currently recovering, and engaged in conversation with her and her family. He also assessed her condition and offered words of encouragement, assuring them of his support throughout her treatment.

In a statement following the visit, Hon. Addo expressed concerns regarding the management of large-scale national recruitment exercises.

He called for stronger safety measures to prevent a repeat of the overcrowding and panic that led to the stampede.

He added that his priority remains the wellbeing of his constituents, especially young people pursuing opportunities to serve the country.
