We filed for it but weren’t nominated — Black Sherif speaks on Grammy nomination snub

Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif has opened up about missing out on a Grammy nomination, revealing that he officially filed for consideration in both the Best African Music Performance and Global Music categories.
Speaking on Hitz FM, he said, “I highly expected to be nominated and would’ve been happy if I was, but I wasn’t touched or moved that I wasn’t nominated.”
Despite the snub, Black Sherif remained positive, noting that the Ghanaian music industry is on the rise and that greater recognition will come with time.
“Our industry is growing, and as time goes on, we will get there,” he added.
