“I don’t mind being a second wife” – Tiwa Savage

Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has stirred massive online debate after revealing that she wouldn’t mind being a second wife in a polygamous marriage.

Speaking on the Lip Service Podcast, Tiwa explained that she’s open to unconventional relationships — particularly if the man is mature or already married.

“If I can meet someone in their 50s or already married, maybe I can be a second wife,” she said.

According to her, she wouldn’t cause any friction in the marriage, emphasizing her respect for boundaries.

“She (the first wife) is going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome. I’ll be going on tours, and I’m very respectful. I know that you’re going to be the first wife,” Tiwa added.

While the “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker admitted that many might not agree with her stance — “I know a lot of people are going to have a problem with that,” she noted — her remarks have since sparked a storm of reactions across social media.
