2026 WCQ: Ghana’s Black Stars arrive in Meknes for Central African Republic game

The Black Stars have arrived in Meknes in preparation for their penultimate 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.
The senior national team had been based in Casablanca since Sunday, ahead of the Matchday 9 games against CAR.
The team, comprising players, technical staff, and officials, departed Casablanca on Tuesday morning for Meknes, the venue for the upcoming match.
During their stay in Casablanca, the team conducted two training sessions at the Mohammed V Sports Complex.
The Black Stars are scheduled to train at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes today at 16:00 GMT, followed by their match against the Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8, at 16:00 GMT.
Following their match against Central African Republic, the Black Stars will return home on Thursday to prepare for their final game against Comoros, scheduled for Sunday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars are striving for a fifth World Cup appearance, currently leading Group I with 19 points.
Ghana has previously participated in the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022 World Cup editions, held in Germany, South Africa, Brazil, and Qatar, respectively.
