‘The facts are there, you cannot take the dancehall crown away from Shatta Wale’ – Bullgod asserts

Artiste manager and entertainment analyst Bullgod has reiterated his long-held belief that Shatta Wale is the undisputed Dancehall king in Ghana.

Speaking on Joy Prime, Bullgod emphasized that while Stonebwoy is a talented artiste, his craft leans more toward Afro-dancehall rather than pure Dancehall.

“Shatta has been true to that genre. I think Stonebwoy does well as well. I’m not sure Stonebwoy will sit anywhere and claim that. Stonebwoy claims Afro-dancehall. For real Dancehall, you cannot take the crown away from Shatta. He has it, and he has championed it not just today, but from way back. When the facts are there, you cannot deny it,” he stated.

Bullgod’s remarks come at a time when conversations around Afro-dancehall and the origins of the sound continue to spark debate in Ghana’s music industry.

He maintained that Shatta Wale’s consistency and dominance in the pure Dancehall space cement his status as the genre’s true king.
