Prestea: Two suspected military officers arrested after failed mining site robbery

Two suspected military personnel and their two civilian accomplices have been apprehended by the Prestea Police in the Western Region for allegedly attempting to rob LongShine Mining Company Limited, a Chinese mine, on Sunday, September 28, at Prestea-Obouhu.

Confirming the incident Mr Akwasi Agyei Annim, on October 1, the Public Relations Officer of LongShine mining, Zion Rootman, stated that the two suspected military personnel, clad in military uniform, and two masked civilians invaded their site in a pickup truck.

However, he narrated that they quickly alerted the Prestea Police, who rushed to arrest them in the process and have since been handed over to the Tarkwa Regional Police Command.
