Joe Biden Undergoes Skin Cancer Surgery

Joe Biden, the former US President, underwent skin cancer surgery, as per his spokeswoman.
His spokeswoman informed the BBC’s US partner CBS News that Biden had Mohs surgery, but did not provide further details immediately.
The surgical procedure is used to remove skin until no cancer evidence remains. Recently, Biden, 82, was spotted with a wound on the right side of his head. In 2023, Biden had a cancerous skin lesion removed from his chest during a routine health check.
In May, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. At the time, Biden wrote on social media, “Cancer touches us all.” He added,
“Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places.” In the past, Biden has had several non-melanoma skin cancers removed before becoming president.
Since January, Biden has largely retreated from the public eye, making few public appearances after leaving the White House.
The Bidens have long advocated for fighting and curing cancer. In 2015, their adult son, Beau, died from brain cancer.
