The fashion house later confirmed the news on their Instagram, stating, “With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.”

As stated by Armani’s camp, the illustrious designer worked tirelessly until his final days, demonstrating an unyielding commitment to the company.

AP News disclosed that Armani was absent from a runway preview show earlier in the week due to an undisclosed condition, although he closely monitored the event through a livestream, a first in his career.

He passed away peacefully amidst loved ones. A private funeral is scheduled, while fans will have the opportunity to pay tribute at a viewing in Milan, Italy, this weekend. He was 91.
