Asante Kotoko emerged victorious, defeating Bibiani GoldStars 1-0 in a captivating match at Dun’s Park, thus claiming the ‘Champion of Champions’ title.

The match was marked by intense moments from the start, with Bibiani GoldStars launching aggressive attacks early on. In the fifth minute, Shaybu Abubakar made a vital tackle to deny a promising chance from Atta Kumi, who was then substituted for the eventual match-winner Hamzata Musah.

Bibiani GoldStars continued to press, nearly taking the lead from a free kick by Appiah McCarthy, only to be denied by two spectacular saves from Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara.

Both teams displayed solid defensive resilience, setting the stage for a tightly contested match. Fans witnessed an exciting battle that promises much for the upcoming 2025/26 football season.

After the interval, Asante Kotoko increased the pressure, nearly scoring when Albert Amoah’s towering header was expertly saved by Bibiani’s Emmanuel Kobi.

The decisive moment arrived in the 70th minute when substitute Musah Hamzata scored a clinical goal into the bottom corner after a precise cross from Seth Kwadwo. That goal proved decisive as the game ended 1-0 in favor of Asante Kotoko.

This victory provides a welcome redemption for the Porcupine Warriors, who struggled through a disappointing ‘Top 4’ campaign last season.
