Singer and songwriter Mr. Eazi has opened up about why he has always leaned toward entrepreneurship, despite his success in music.

In an interview posted on Instagram on August 26, 2025, the “Skin Tight” hitmaker revealed that his interest in business was sparked at the age of 15 after being inspired by Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote.

“I didn’t want to be an artiste, I wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was 15. I just wanted to be Aliko Dangote, who is the richest black person in the world,” he explained.

According to him, music was never part of his initial dreams. His passion for it only developed after he began organising social events during his school years.

“I started doing parties in my school because my school was an engineering school. So everybody is focused on work. And those parties turned to concerts and festivals. That was how I found myself in the studios because it was fun,” he recounted.
