Two arrested as Police dismantle alleged drug centre at New Legon

The Ghana Police Service has dismantled a suspected drug distribution centre at New Legon in Accra following an intelligence-led operation that resulted in two arrests and the seizure of narcotics.
The raid was carried out with the support of surveillance intelligence and sniffer dogs. According to police, the operation was set in motion after officers intercepted a motorcyclist leaving the property under circumstances they described as suspicious. The interception prompted a detailed search of the premises.
During the search, officers recovered quantities of substances believed to be Indian hemp, codeine and tramadol. Two individuals found at the location were apprehended and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

Police say the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on the illegal distribution of drugs and improve safety in residential communities.
