COPEC Projects Fuel Price Increase in March 2026; Petrol and Diesel to Go Up Slightly
Fuel prices in Ghana could see a marginal increase in the first pricing window of March 2026, according to projections by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC).
In its latest report released on February 24, 2026, COPEC indicated that petrol and diesel prices are likely to rise slightly, while Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is expected to record a modest decline.
According to COPEC’s projections:
- Petrol is expected to increase by 3.59%
- Diesel is projected to rise by 1.52%
- LPG may decline by 1.57%
The Chamber attributed the expected hikes mainly to rising international crude oil prices on the global market.
Despite a slight appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar during the current pricing window, COPEC says the gains are not strong enough to offset the impact of higher global fuel prices.
