NIA increases fees for Ghana Card services

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced plans to adjust the fees for various services offered at its premium centres, resulting in a mixed response from the public.
The fee revision will affect services such as Ghana Card registration for first-time applicants, updates to personal information, replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged cards, nationality updates, and non-citizen card registration.
The NIA has stated that the decision to review the fees is intended to sustain operations and improve service delivery across its premium centres. However, the Authority has not yet announced the new prices or the effective date of the revised charges.
In a statement, the NIA said, “We wish to inform the general public that there will be an adjustment in the prices of the following services: First-time Registration, Personal Information Update, Replacement Service, Nationality Update, and Non-Citizen Card Registration. This adjustment is necessary to enable us to maintain and improve the quality of services we provide.”
The NIA has encouraged the public to seek further clarification through its official communication channels, assuring card applicants of its commitment to maintaining efficient and quality services.
