Daddy Lumba Was Too Big To Be Managed By Roman Fada – Kofi Nti Asserts

Highlife musician, Kofi Nti, has disputed claims that media personality Roman Fada ever managed the late Highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba.
Speaking on OKAY FM with host Nana Romeo, Kofi Nti described the narrative as entirely inaccurate, emphasizing that only Mr. Kwesi Brenya can be credited as Lumba’s manager.
“I am not aware of anyone who has ever managed Lumba apart from Mr. Brenya,” he stressed. “Lumba is too prominent to be managed by Roman Fada, and he knows that. However, he has accepted it due to its widespread assertion.”
Kofi Nti, who enjoyed a close working relationship with the late icon, recounted how Lumba supported his rise in the industry, often inviting him to major shows and even entrusting him with handling parts of events.
“Sometimes after performing, he would tell me I didn’t charge enough and that I should have let him negotiate,” he revealed. “It was always a privilege to work with him because he barely shared a microphone with people. Apart from Nana Acheampong, Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu, and recently Sarkodie, he didn’t share the same stage with many artistes.”
Describing Lumba as both a mentor and a father figure, Kofi Nti said the Highlife great recognised his potential early and became a powerful source of guidance.
“He took me in as a son, and I was always happy working with him,” he added.
