“I’m Not Bothered” – Arathejay Addresses Viral Presec Hooting Incident, Says He Would Still Perform Again

Fast-rising Ghanaian musician Arathejay has finally reacted after going viral for an awkward moment during his recent performance at PRESEC Legon’s Torch and Bonfire Night on October 31, 2025.
The event, which also featured Black Sherif, saw Arathejay take the stage to perform — but a section of the students hooted at him, attempting to force him off mid-performance.
Despite the incident sparking online debate, the “Hallelujah” hitmaker says he remains completely unbothered.
Speaking in a recent interview, Arathejay explained that he holds no grudges against the students and would gladly perform for them again.
“The boys who did that are still my boys. If they like, they should repeat the same thing at the next show, and I will still perform. When I was in PRESEC, I never got the chance to perform, so I was actually excited,” he said.
Arathejay also opened up about his days as a student at PRESEC, revealing that he once came close to being expelled over a disciplinary issue.
“Something happened and they wanted to expel me, so they took me to DC. Some teachers spoke for me, so I was allowed to stay with the counsellor,” he shared.
He further reiterated his controversial stance on gospel music, stating: “If your song doesn’t mention Jesus, it’s not gospel music.”
