Soldier Arrested For Assaulting Drug Store Attendant and Female Customer yh

A military officer has been arrested for assaulting an attendant and a female customer at a pharmacy in Burma Camp.

A CCTV footage of the incident went viral on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, drawing public condemnation.

His arrest was effected on October 30 dawn, a statement by the Acting Director General Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, Veronica Adzo Arhin, confirmed.

“The arrest of the suspect was carried out by Ghana Military Police personnel at dawn today, Thursday, 30 October 2025.

“The suspect is assisting in the investigation of the incident. The victims have also undergone medical attention and are also assisting with investigations.”

The statement condemned the action of the military officer, noting that it will not condone any acts of assault on civilians.

It also assured that it will not shield any soldier engaged in such an action.
