Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has claimed that he played a major role in the rise of Dancehall star Stonebwoy. Speaking in an interview on TV3, the “Abodam” hitmaker stated that he was the first artiste to feature Stonebwoy on a song — their collaboration “No More” — which he believes catapulted the Dancehall musician into the spotlight.

According to Kwaw Kese, his influence extends beyond his personal hits, as he has helped shape the careers of several artistes, including Opanka and Sarkodie. “I groomed talents. I’m the first person to do a song with Stonebwoy, not once but twice, and my song blew up Stonebwoy,” he said.

Kwaw Kese added that despite past tensions with Sarkodie, they are now on good terms, emphasizing that he speaks his mind just like anyone else.
