Binduri: Gunmen shoot radio presenter, four others
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, five people, including a radio presenter, were shot in the Binduri District of the Upper East Region when gunmen stormed their residence in the evening.
Three victims, including a five-year-old child, died on the spot, while two others, including a radio presenter, were admitted to the hospital.
The radio presenter has been identified as George Bukari, manager of Binduri-based Maxx Empire Radio and TV. According to locals, the incident is linked to the Bawku conflict, which has claimed several lives since November 2021.
In another incident, a mentally challenged individual was reportedly shot dead by military officers at Daduri, a suburb of Bawku.
