Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Communications, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, underscoring that its implementation will continue unabated.

In a statement on Accra-based Metro TV, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu observed that President John Dramani Mahama is steadfast in his resolve to recover state funds allegedly misappropriated by officials of the previous administration.

“ORAL is an enduring initiative, and the President is committed to it; its progress will not be hindered. The Attorney-General has stated that no one will impede its work,” Mr. Kwakye Ofosu stated.

He noted that the initiative is integral to the government’s broader efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and the judicious use of public resources.

The Minister stressed that the Mahama administration is dedicated to safeguarding the national purse by retrieving funds and assets wrongfully taken from the state.

According to him, such measures are vital for restoring public confidence in governance and ensuring that those entrusted with public office are held accountable for their stewardship. Mr. Kwakye Ofosu reaffirmed that ORAL’s mission is not politically motivated but rather aimed at protecting the national interest.

He assured Ghanaians that the operation would be carried out in accordance with the law, guided by fairness and due process, to ensure that justice is served and public funds are rightfully recovered.
