Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s campaign team, in anticipation of the NPP Presidential Primary, has formed an Anti-Election Rigging Response Squad to counter potential electoral manipulation.

The team suspects that there are plans to unfairly influence the outcome of the election.

“Prophets have informed us that, in a free and fair election, Ken Ohene Agyapong will win, but we are advised to establish robust safeguards against rigging.”

Director of Elections for the Kennedy Agyapong Campaign Team, Joojo Rocky Obeng, says the Anti-Rigging Response Team, operating in all 276 constituencies, will work to protect the ballot for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

“Our leader, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, sent a strong signal to all stakeholders that no one should attempt rigging this election. We have set up this Response Team to enforce his command and desire for a free and fair election. So this is to ensure that nobody rigs the elections—we mean nobody.”

He further added, “If this election is free and fair, Kennedy Agyapong will win, we know that, but to protect the integrity of the polls, we need to ensure that the right things are done.”

Delegates of the NPP will head to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer who will lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

Five candidates are currently campaigning for the flagbearer slot:

Former Vice President and 2024 Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong
Former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
Former Agric Minister, Dr. Bryan Acheampong
Former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyapong
