The Ghana Education Service (GES) has repudiated a recruitment letter being circulated on social media, warning the public to ignore it.

The letter, which purports to announce financial clearance for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff, did not come from the Service, according to management.

In a statement dated Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, the GES stated:

“Management wishes to state that the letter is bogus and did not originate from GES. No recruitment exercise has been officially announced yet.” GES clarified that official recruitment announcements will be communicated solely through the Service’s official platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.

The statement added: “The public is advised to disregard the fake letter and report any fraudulent activities linked to it.”

The Service is urging all job seekers and the general public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to scams.
