Chelsea Football Club has been hit with 74 charges by the Football Association (FA) for allegedly breaking rules on football agents and third-party investments.

The charges cover a period between 2009 and 2022, when the club was owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Most of the alleged breaches are linked to activities between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons.

In a statement, the FA said Chelsea had broken several regulations, including those relating to agents and intermediaries, as well as rules on third-party involvement in player ownership.

The west London club has until September 19, 2025, to officially respond to the charges.

Chelsea, now under new ownership, has not yet issued a public statement.
