NPP Bono Regional Chairman Abronye arrested

Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been arrested by the police.
Details surrounding the reasons for his arrest remain unclear.
Abronye, known for his outspoken political views, made headlines last week after formally requesting political asylum in eight countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, the United States, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
In his request, he cited what he described as consistent, escalating political persecution, threats to his life, and systemic abuse of state security powers by the current Government of Ghana as grounds for seeking international protection.
According to reports, armed police officers searched the residence of Moses Abor, former NPP Youth Organiser, on Sunday in connection with the case but did not find Abronye there.
