Popular dancer and choreographer Dancegod Lloyd has opened up about how he chooses which songs to create dance challenges for, revealing that he often turns down requests from artistes.

Speaking on the August 23, 2025 edition of NF Studio’s Top Secret, the creative mind behind King Promise’s viral “Terminator” challenge explained that his decisions are strongly influenced by the responsibility he feels toward the many young fans who follow his work.

“I have rejected a lot of songs. A lot of kids look up to me so if the content of the song does not make sense, like with the lyrics, if they are too profane yeah,” he said.

According to Lloyd, profanity and inappropriate lyrics are the biggest reasons he refuses certain songs, stressing that he does not want to promote content that sends the wrong message.

He further revealed that even with clean songs, not every attempt at creating a dance trend is successful. Sometimes the right moves don’t come together, and in such cases, he steps aside.

“Yeah sometimes you don’t get what you want and you let it be. Let it go to the next person. I try as much as possible to be human,” he explained.
