GFA President Kurt Okraku announces GHC2 million prize for 2025/26 Premier League winner

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, unveiled a new prize package for the winners of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season during the 31st Ordinary Congress of the GFA, with the league champions set to receive GHC2 million.
Addressing delegates at the congress, Okraku presented the prize money structure that rewards the top fifteen clubs based on their final league standings.
The cash incentives aim to boost competition and motivate clubs to deliver their best performances throughout the season. The runners-up position will carry a reward of GHC1 million, while the third and fourth place teams will receive GHC850,000 and GHC750,000 respectively.
A detailed prize breakdown, encompassing the top fifteen clubs, has been announced by the Ghana Football Association, ensuring a broad financial benefit across the league. Clubs securing fifth place will receive GHC700,000, with amounts decreasing incrementally to GHC200,000 for 15th place.
This strategic initiative by the GFA aims to bolster the financial stability of Ghanaian clubs and further professionalize the domestic league system.
