The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has firmly denied allegations circulating on social media that question the professionalism and conduct of the sector Minister, Abla Dzifa Gomashie.

In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Head of Public Relations, Delassie Mabel Awuku, the accusations—described as “false narratives” pushed by a social media personality—were dismissed as baseless and misleading.

“These assertions, portraying the Minister as disrespectful and unprofessional, are not only wholly unfounded but also gravely misleading,” the Ministry stated.

“They represent a blatant mischaracterisation of an individual who has consistently demonstrated humility, dedication, and tireless service to the cultural advancement of our nation.”

The statement underscored the Minister’s longstanding commitment to engaging stakeholders and the general public with respect, while promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

It also described the allegations as “a regrettable attempt to tarnish this reputation,” warning that such claims undermine the Ministry’s broader efforts and the work of those who serve in the creative sector with pride.

The Ministry urged the public to reject content creators who promote “sensationalism over truth,” and called for an unqualified apology for what it termed “blatant lies peddled” against the Minister and directors of the Ministry.

“We remain committed to transparency and welcome constructive dialogue—but we will not tolerate falsehoods that seek to divide and distract,” the statement concluded.
