Man arrested for running illegal clinic in Yeji for 11 years
The Bono East Regional Police Command has apprehended a man for allegedly operating an unauthorized medical facility at Yeji Zongo in the Bono East Region for over a decade.
The suspect, Hanson Osei, was taken into custody on September 28, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation that led officers to his residence, where he had converted a chamber-and-hall apartment into a makeshift clinic.
A search of the premises uncovered used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical supplies.
During interrogation, Osei admitted to operating the facility without authorization for the past 11 years.
He has since been arraigned before the Tuobodom District Court, where he was remanded into custody to reappear on October 6, 2025.
