Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of former Nania FC defender Daniel Adrian Adjetey on a one-and-a-half-year deal. The 24-year-old versatile defender, who has previously played in Denmark’s Division 2 and Latvia’s top flight, brings a wealth of international experience to the Porcupine Warriors.

Adjetey’s signing is seen as a direct replacement for injured Emmanuel Kotei, with Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum citing the need for a reliable defender. Adjetey’s defensive solidity and attacking support will undoubtedly be an asset to the team.

The defender began his career in Ghana with Nania FC, where he honed his skills and established himself as a dependable right-back. His international experience includes stints with Naestved in Denmark’s Division 2 and BFC Daugavpils in the Latvia top flight.

Asante Kotoko is delighted to have secured Adjetey’s services, and the defender is expected to make an immediate impact. With the Ghana Premier League heating up, the Porcupine Warriors will be looking to Adjetey to help solidify their defense and push for the top spot.

Asante Kotoko currently sits fifth in the Ghana Premier League table, with 28 points from 16 matches. The signing of Adjetey is a clear indication of the team’s commitment to strengthening their squad and making a push for the title.
