Kwahu Easter Celebration is to be closely monitored by Police as over 1,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure a peaceful Kwahu Easter celebration in the Eastern Region.

According to the Eastern North Regional Police Commander DCOP Isaac Kwadwo Asante ,he assured the public that robust security measures are put in place before, during, and after the festivities.
This assurance comes as a welcome relief, especially considering the event’s popularity and potential security concerns.

He further cautioned against robbery, narcotics, and other forms of criminality, assuring that perpetrators will be dealt with accordingly.

The Member of parliament for Mpraeso constituency, Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK), stated that seven pilots, including a Ghanaian pilot, will oversee the paragliding festival at Odwenanoma mountains.

He also emphasized that Kwahu offers numerous tourist attractions worth visiting during the Easter celebration, including Stone City,Bruku Rock,stone age park, waterfalls and many more.

Hon Davis highlighted on the significance of the event and the proactive measures taken to provide a safe and peaceful environment for all attendees.

MTN Ghana has demonstrated its commitment to fostering community relations by donating essential food items and a cash amount of GHC 10,000 to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam’s office.

The donation, which forms part of MTN Ghana’s annual support to the Muslim community, aimed to support the Muslim community during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. The donated items included bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil, cartons of bottled water, and soft drinks.

Presenting the items, Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager for General Trade in Northern Ghana, emphasized MTN Ghana’s commitment to social support and community relations. “This donation is an annual tradition for us, and it is part of our way of giving back to the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan,” he stated.

Receiving the items, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, Executive Secretary at the Office of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, expressed appreciation for MTN Ghana’s continued support. “MTN Ghana has been a true friend of the Muslim community. Their consistent support over the years shows their dedication to our welfare, and we deeply appreciate it,” he said.

This donation is part of MTN Ghana’s broader initiative to support Muslim communities across the country. Similar donations were made to other Regional Chief Imams, including the National Chief Imam.

Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, the Kwahuhene, has made a remarkable commitment to empowering the youth of Kwahu in agriculture. During his outdooring program at Kwahu Abene in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern region, he pledged to provide farming lands to the youth without any cost, enabling them to cultivate more food for Ghana .

To motivate the youth to venture into farming, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III promised to supply farming inputs for free. This initiative aims to encourage the youth to take up farming as a viable business, contributing to Ghana’s food security and economic growth.
The newly outdoored Kwahuhene focus on youth empowerment and agriculture is a welcome development for Kwahu and the region as a whole.

Nana Adwoa Gyamfua III, the revered Queen Mother of the Kwahu traditional area, also made a passionate appeal to businessmen from Kwahu to invest in job-creating initiatives within the community.She emphasized the urgent need for employment opportunities to engage the youth and stimulate economic growth in Kwahu.

The divisional chiefs of Kwahu have expressed their support for Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III’s initiative, recognizing its potential to bring development to the region. They have urged all chiefs in Kwahu to rally behind the Kwahuhene in promoting youth empowerment through agriculture.

A horrific incident occurred on February 14, 2025, leaving the northern transport operators in shock. An ADT Transport Company Limited bus was brutally attacked, resulting in six fatalities and millions of cedis worth of property destroyed.

The bus, with registration number GR-7501-21, was traveling from Widana to Pulmakom with 45 passengers on board when it was ambushed by an unidentified group near Walewale.

Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing scene, describing how the attackers shot one person dead on the spot, set the bus ablaze, and left four passengers with severe burns. One of the critically injured passengers later succumbed to their injuries.

ADT Transport Company Limited, a reputable transport operator with seven years of service, is now calling on the government for urgent assistance.

The company’s spokesperson, Mr. Richard Kofi Karikari, appealed to the government to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide support to replace the burnt bus or offer monetary assistance.

Furthermore, Karikari emphasized the need for enhanced security measures to protect transport operators plying the Northern Territory.

He urged the government to install more police barriers and increase police presence along the route to prevent such incidents in the future.

The attack on the ADT Transport Company Limited bus has sent shockwaves throughout the transport operators who ply the said root, highlighting the urgent need for improved security and support for transport operators.

As the nation mourns the loss of life and property as a results of the renewed clashes between the Kusasi and Mamprusi, government must take swift action to address the concerns of ADT Transport Company Limited and ensure the safety of all citizens.

On Valentine’s Day, the Strategic Vision Foundation, a Ghanaian non-governmental organization (NGO), embarked on a heartwarming initiative to share thousands of chocolates with children of cocoa farmers in the Atwima Mponua constituency.

The beneficiaries of this kind gesture were hundreds of pupils from KG to JHS of the Kwanfinfi D/A School, located in one of the leading cocoa-producing communities in the Ashanti region.

Kwanfinfi has significantly contributed to Ghana’s cocoa production, making it a vital part of the country’s economy. The community’s dedication to cocoa farming has not only boosted Ghana’s economy but has also provided livelihoods for numerous families.

According to Nana Prempeh Agyemang, CEO and founder of the Strategic Vision Foundation, the initiative aims to give back to the community and provide children in cocoa farming areas with a taste of the products their parents work hard to produce.

“Children living in cocoa farming areas hardly get to enjoy the fruits of their parents’ labor,” said Mr. Agyemang.

We want to change that by providing them with chocolate and other cocoa products. The benefits of cocoa should be enjoyed by all Ghanaians, especially those in cocoa farming communities.”

Mr. Agyemang believes that this gesture will encourage children to take an interest in cocoa farming and see the value in continuing the tradition.

“This is one way to motivate children to get into farming,” he added. By exposing children to the end products of cocoa farming, the foundation hopes to inspire a new generation of cocoa farmers who will continue to contribute to Ghana’s economy.

The acting Headteacher of the school, Mr. Owusu Bempeh Emmanuel, expressed his gratitude to the foundation on behalf of the school and pupils.

“We are thankful for this kind gesture and urge other organizations to follow suit,” he said. The school administration and pupils were visibly delighted by the surprise visit and generous donation.

The Strategic Vision Foundation’s Valentine’s Day giveaway is part of their ongoing efforts to support and provide relief to those in need.

The organization aims to continue making a positive impact in the lives of Ghanaians, especially in cocoa farming communities.

Daasebre Akuamoah I Boateng III,Okwahu hene has donated an amount of Gh200,000 to aid traders whose businesses were devastated by the recent fire at Kantamanto Market on the 2nd of January this year .

The donation, which aims to support the reconstruction efforts and also assist the affected traders in restoring their livelihoods and ensuring the market’s eventual return to full operation was presented on his behalf by Kwahu Abetifihene, Akyemfuor Asiedu Agyemang III, Kwahu Tafohene,Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II and Kwahu Pepeasehene, Nana Bonsu Ayirepe II.

Speaking on behalf of Kwahu hene, Akyemfuor Asiedu Agyemang III, Abetifihene reiterated the support of Kwahu Chiefs as a whole to the traders of Kantamanto and also expressed sympathy for the traders’ losses.

Akyemfuor Asiedu further pleaded with government to collaborate with the traders for a modern market since Kantamanto market has helped in the reduction of unemployment.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the traders ,Aikins Boakye Mensah who’s the redevelopment committee chairman expressed immense gratitude to Kwahuhene and the entire Kwahu Chiefs for remembering and supporting them in this toughest moment.

He additionally appealed to all and sundry for support in terms of iron rods and fencing of the market and also outlined measures put in place to avoid such disaster.

Prophet Oduro Unleashes Scathing Rebuke on Prophet Ogyaba, Lead Them to Salvation, Not to Bed

Prophet Kofi Oduro, General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministries, has strongly condemned Prophet Ogyaba’s extramarital affairs, labeling it a “disgrace to the body of Christ.” He emphasized that as a prophet of God, Ogyaba holds an office of great trust, and his primary mission is to guide God’s people to salvation, not to take advantage of them.

Prophet Oduro stated that Ogyaba’s actions have given others the chance to speak ill of God’s name and have tarnished God’s reputation. He warned that Christians must avoid certain shameful behaviors that bring God’s name into disrepute.

Addressing the congregation, Prophet Oduro said, “You have a wife, and someone comes to your church. It is your duty to lead that person toward salvation. Even if you are a false prophet, as long as you are in charge of God’s flock, you must think wisely.”

He further emphasized that it is not the role of a prophet to take advantage of women but to lead them to salvation. Prophet Oduro stated that anyone who claims to be a man of God but cannot control their sexual urges is unfit for the ministry.

Prophet Oduro issued a stern warning to Prophet Ogyaba, stating, “I am speaking to Ghanaian promiscuous prophets: repent! The blood of those girls you’ve slept with is on your head. You will die a miserable death.”

Prophet Oduro concluded by stating that he is an example of a man of God who would never fall victim to sexual sin. He also directed blame toward the side chick involved, questioning why she chose to have an affair with a married pastor.

Prophet Oduro’s strong condemnation of Prophet Ogyaba’s actions has sparked a heated debate within the Christian community, with many calling for greater accountability and integrity among religious leaders.

The reserves are Tano numiri forest, Tano Anwia and the Yɔɔyɔɔ forest reserves.

These galamseyers when impounded, has destroyed resources meant for a lot of things in Ghana.
Some of them at certain other places have destroyed a lot of trees that we had planted some years back.
The manager(Joe Appiah) has sworn that these illegalities will not be allowed in his territory.

Their equipment was seized and some of them were burnt at the full glare of the people .
Mr Appiah, has warned the general public who is having it in mind to do these illegal activities should abort this.
He has also urged the public to report all illegal activities.

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) organized a one-day workshop for media practitioners in the Ashanti Region. The workshop aimed to educate participants on the responsible use of information, particularly in the context of disinformation and misinformation.

As Ghana prepares for elections, the workshop sought to promote professional journalism practices, emphasizing the importance of accurate and respectful reporting.

According to Mr. Benjamin A. Davis, Deputy Chairperson at the School of Global Journalism and Communication, Morgan State University, USA, “Journalism is not just about conveying information, but also about presenting it in a responsible and respectful manner.”

Davis noted that poor presentation and sensationalism have contributed to conflicts in various countries, including the United States.

Dr. Kojo Impraim, Program Director of MPSD at MFWA, added that a recent study monitoring radio and TV stations revealed widespread use of abusive language by presenters, callers, and hosts.

The workshop aimed to address this issue by promoting information integrity and responsible journalism practices.

Dr. Impraim appealed to journalists to use their platforms responsibly, avoiding language that could incite harm or conflict.

By promoting professional journalism practices, MFWA seeks to contribute to a peaceful and informed electoral process in Ghana.
