Regina Daniels responds to Ned Nwoko, opens up on drug abuse allegations and marital struggles

Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has publicly responded to her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, following the arrest of her brother, Sammy West.

Recall that after a viral video alleged that Ned Nwoko was physically abusing Regina, the senator issued a statement accusing the actress of drug abuse and claiming he had advised her to seek rehabilitation.

In a new development, Regina Daniels admitted to using drugs but questioned whether that was truly the root of their marital issues.

In a write-up posted via her social media accounts on November 9, 2025, she alleged that her husband was attempting to isolate her from her family due to the strong bond she shares with them.

According to Regina, Ned Nwoko’s public statement about her alleged drug use was a calculated attempt to divert attention from the real problems in their marriage.

Regina made allegations against her husband, stating that he attempted to detain individuals close to her in an effort to leave her isolated and force her to return to him.

She maintained that this approach would be unsuccessful. Regina also claimed that her husband had previously suggested she undergo rehabilitation, yet simultaneously encouraged her substance abuse, as he found her more attractive in that state.

Furthermore, Regina accused her husband of engaging in coercive behavior, including forced intimacy, confinement, and confiscating her phones, as well as labeling her mentally unstable when she refused to comply with his wishes.

Regina inquired as to why her husband had not revealed that his wives and ex-wives allegedly struggled with substance abuse, requesting an explanation for this phenomenon.

Ultimately, Regina concluded that her husband’s alleged expenditures on her could never compensate for the sacrifices she made during their marriage, including her time, career opportunities, energy, and prime years.
