Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has formally petitioned the Party’s National Disciplinary Committee, seeking action against Mr. Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, for conduct that has harmed the Party’s image and unity.

The petition, submitted on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, details a series of actions by Abronye DC that Mr. Kodua Frimpong claims amount to defamation, misconduct, and gross indiscipline.

The petition lodged against Mr. Baffoe alleged that he made a derogatory comment about Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a senior Party member, stating that “even the elephant has more wisdom than Hon. Agyapong.” The statement considered the comment to be defamatory and damaging to both Hon. Agyapong and the Party.

Additionally, Mr. Kodua disputed as false and malicious an allegation by Abronye DC that the General Secretary had deliberately concealed a report recommending the expulsion of Hon. Agyapong.

The petition further alleged that Mr. Baffoe misrepresented the contents of a disciplinary committee report, claiming it catalogued offences against Hon. Agyapong. This, according to the Party, was a serious breach of confidentiality and an attempt to undermine the authority of the Committee.

The NPP is calling upon the National Disciplinary Committee to conduct a thorough and impartial inquiry and apply appropriate sanctions in line with the Party’s constitution.

“The Party remains committed to upholding fairness, discipline, and democratic values. Accountability within our ranks is non-negotiable, as it ensures the unity, integrity, and credibility of the organisation,” the statement concluded.
