The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) Eastern Chapter has demanded immediate action and investigations against a group of students at Kade Senior High School who assaulted their teacher outside the school premises.

A viral video shows about six students attacking the teacher, believed to be in retaliation for disciplinary measures taken against them in school in October 2025.

Although the Ghana Police Service began investigations when the incident occurred, no concrete action has been taken yet.

Eastern Regional NAGRAT Chairman Awoonor-Yevu Godwin insists that lawful sanctions must be applied to the students to serve as a deterrent to others.

The Association stresses that attacks on teachers compromise discipline and safety within the school environment.

The Centre for Research on Education Policy has also denounced the ambush and assault, deeming it unacceptable and a threat to the professional integrity of educators.

“CREP condemns the incident in the strongest possible terms. Violence against educators is unacceptable, unlawful, and a grave threat to the stability and quality of Ghana’s educational environment. Educators must never be subjected to intimidation or physical attack for carrying out their professional responsibilities,” they stated.
