Offinso Transforms: MCE Details Infrastructure Surge Across Municipality

The Offinso Municipal Assembly is experiencing a significant uplift in infrastructure and social services, according to an address by Hon. Frank Owusu Amoah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), at the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration on Friday, December 5, 2025.
While the event’s theme focused on “Feed Ghana,” MCE Amoah emphasized that the current government is fulfilling its broader mandate through an aggressive “reset agenda” of vital projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents across the municipality.
The MCE detailed major progress in health and security infrastructure, crucial components of community well-being:
On Healthcare Expansion, Construction of new CHPS Compounds is underway at both Wawase and Namong-Wenchi, significantly improving access to primary healthcare services.
The 30-Bed Capacity Ward at Abofour Health Center has been completed, enhancing the hospital’s ability to serve patients.
A new Police Administration Block at Asamankama has also been successfully completed, boosting security operations in the area.
In a dedicated effort to support education and future generations, several school infrastructure projects were highlighted as complete or ongoing:
• JHS Block: Construction of a 3-Unit Classroom Block is progressing at Aburokyire JHS.
• Multi-Storey Project: A substantial 2-Storey 6 Unit Classroom Block is currently under construction at Camp 31.
• School Completion: The 3 Unit Classroom Block at AME Zion Basic School, Ampabame, is now fully completed and operational.
Connecting Communities with Roads, Water, and Power
Addressing fundamental connectivity and resource challenges, the MCE confirmed several projects that will directly impact daily life in rural communities:
• Road Network: Approximately 55 kilometers of road throughout the municipality have undergone spot improvement and reshaping, greatly easing transportation and commerce.
• Rural Electrification: Power is being extended to 15 communities across the Offinso Municipal area, supporting economic activity and improving safety.
• Water Access: Five new boreholes equipped with hand pumps have been drilled and constructed in communities including Ampam, Tutuamapa-Kwakutaa, Amaning (Kutikrom), Brekum (Kofikrom), and Gambia Nkwanta, ensuring reliable access to clean water.
Hon. Amoah stressed that these projects, combined with the government’s agricultural support policies like the “Feed Ghana Program,” demonstrate a commitment to holistic national development.
He concluded his address by congratulating all award winners at the Farmers’ Day event, expressing hope that the visible progress in their communities would serve as an added motivation to continue their essential work.
