“After losing everything, my wife left me” — Evangelist Edward Akwasi reveals his divorce story

Gospel musician Evangelist Edward Akwasi has opened up about the collapse of his marriage, revealing that his ex-wife divorced him years after he cheated on her.

Speaking on Akoma FM, he explained that although his wife forgave him at the time of the incident—when he was financially comfortable—things changed drastically after he went broke.

He said his wife began revisiting the 20-year-old cheating incident during the period he lost his wealth, eventually moving out for six months.

Despite his efforts to reconcile, the relationship worsened after she gained financial independence, built her own house, and bought a car.

According to him, she later declared she could never remain in the marriage again, leading to their divorce six years ago.
