High Court discharges Gregory Afoko
The Accra High Court has discharged Gregory Afoko, accused of conspiracy to commit murder in the case of the former NPP Upper East Regional Chairman.
Asabke Alangdi was convicted of murder in April 2024.
Presiding judge Marie Louise Simmons discharged Gregory Afoko after noting that the case had been adjourned over eight times without activity and dissolved the jury.
A retrial was due after a seven-member jury returned a hung verdict in the murder trial.
