Morocco gets new FIFA Arena mini-pitch in Meknes

The FIFA Arena Project has recently expanded its reach to Morocco, with the launch of a mini-pitch in Meknes, marking the country’s inaugural facility of this kind.
Situated at the Halima Al-Saadiya School, this modern and sustainable infrastructure is designed to accommodate over 2000 students from nearby schools, including Hay Salam School, Salah Eddine Al Ayoubi School, and Al Mofgaddali High School. By providing a safe and motivating space, the Halima Saadia School in Meknes aims to foster a love for football among its students.
This initiative is poised to make a significant difference in the lives of disadvantaged children from neighboring communities, offering them a chance to engage in football under ideal conditions, while promoting social integration, personal development, and a passion for the sport.

The mini-pitch boasts FIFA-certified artificial turf, affording the next generation opportunities to refine their sporting skills and foster promising future prospects.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed Moroccan footballers, including Aziz Bouderbala and Mustafa El Haddaoui, as well as officials from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Ministry of Sports.
Algeria, Liberia, and Niger have previously benefited from this initiative, which is part of FIFA’s global effort to construct mini-pitches worldwide, consistent with FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s commitment at the Sustainable Sport Summit in Paris in July 2024.
The FIFA Arena Project supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by providing playing opportunities to children, particularly in disadvantaged urban and rural areas.
