The Igbo king invested in and helped the Ghanaian movie industry a lot – veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo reveals

Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Adjorlolo has come to the defense of Eze Chuckwudi Jude Ihenetu, the King of the Igbo community in Ghana, amid recent backlash following his alleged snub at the Manhyia Palace.
In an interview on The Liz Media Show, Adjorlolo praised the Igbo King’s remarkable support for the Ghanaian film industry, describing him as a generous personality who has consistently invested in and sponsored productions.
He recalled how Eze Ihenetu often made his residence and vehicles available for filmmakers and extended financial help to actors, producers, and directors. “That man has helped us a lot… He’s given his house for us to shoot films, and he’s given his cars for us to shoot,” Adjorlolo emphasized.
The Igbo King recently became a topic of public debate after reports claimed he was prevented by the Asantehene’s linguist from greeting Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during the late Asantehemaa’s funeral. However, Eze Ihenetu has denied such claims, insisting he was not barred from showing respect to the Asantehene.
