DStv Pricing: Stakeholder Committee to Submit Report on September 29

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has announced that the stakeholder committee evaluating DStv pricing in Ghana will present its findings on Monday, September 29, 2025.
The committee, which commenced work on September 8, 2025, aimed to develop a comprehensive understanding of DStv pricing in Ghana and recommend measures that are commercially viable and acceptable to address concerns raised by the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Sam George.
Moreover, the committee was tasked with designing a roadmap to curb cross-border piracy of DStv decoders and services from Nigeria into Ghana.
On September 23, the NCA announced that the committee had achieved considerable progress, but required an additional week to finalize its work.
The sector minister granted this extension, and the NCA confirmed that the committee’s findings will be presented by September 29.
As the statutory body responsible for licensing and regulating electronic communication activities and services in Ghana, the NCA was established by law in 1996 and operates under the National Communications Authority Act, 2008 (Act 769).
