Ghana and Saudi Arabia pledge to boost security cooperation

Muntaka Mubarak, Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, has held high-level talks with Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Interior, in Riyadh.
The Saudi Minister warmly welcomed Mubarak, and the meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.
Key discussions revolved around addressing emerging threats and deepening collaboration in areas such as law enforcement, counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and capacity building.
Mubarak characterized the engagement as fruitful, highlighting the commitment of both nations to building lasting bonds of friendship and cooperation.
“This engagement reflects our shared determination to strengthen bilateral relations and protect the mutual interests of Ghana and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said.
The talks signal a renewed commitment to advancing Ghana-Saudi ties, particularly in the area of security, at a time when regional and global threats require stronger partnerships.
