No king in Africa comes close to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II; he is the most powerful king in Africa- Nana Aba Anamoah states

Outspoken broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has declared the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as the most powerful king on the African continent. She argued that the Ashanti Kingdom stands above all others in prestige and authority, largely because of its ability to unite people from diverse backgrounds during its cultural celebrations.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on September 20, 2025, Nana Aba dismissed critics who questioned the influence of the Asantehene. “It’s the way every celebration from the kingdom unites Ghana. People come from all walks of life, it speaks to the unity of this country and the immense power the Ashanti king wields. I see people saying all sorts of things about the Asantehene, masa, sit down! He is the Ashanti king. There is none like him in Africa. He is the most powerful king in Africa, and we have to respect and revere the Ashantis and this celebration,” she said in Twi.
Nana Aba also praised the seamless organisation of the ‘Do Te Yie’ funeral for the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, describing it as a world-class display of culture. “This funeral, you don’t have to be an Ashanti to admire what is happening there. I’m a Fante, but you cannot take away the culture, history, tradition, and authority of the Ashanti Kingdom. It compares to none,” she added.
