The Ministry of Education has instituted Resolution Centres throughout the country to aid students and parents facing difficulties with the 2025 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).

These centres are situated at district and regional education offices, with a national centre positioned at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall in Accra.

At a press conference in Accra on September 18, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, assured the public that the Ministry is implementing measures to simplify the process for affected candidates.

“To reduce the burden on parents and guardians, resolution centres have been established at the district, regional, and national levels — that is, GES and TVET district offices — with the GNAT Hall in Accra serving as the national resolution centre,” Dr. Apaak noted.

According to the Ministry, 82 percent of qualified students have been placed in senior high, senior high technical, and TVET institutions across the country.

A total of 483,800 students, including 248,038 females and 234,783 males, have been placed out of 590,309 qualified candidates.

Nevertheless, 107,509 candidates were not matched with their selected schools and will now proceed with the self-placement process.

Dr. Apaak noted that the placement programme covers a total of 724 public senior and senior high technical schools, 233 TVET institutions, and 70 private senior high schools under the pilot programme.

The placement portal was officially launched on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, and has been inundated with online traffic as thousands of students attempt to access the platform.

Many students have successfully accessed their placement information, but others are still facing challenges due to network issues in certain areas.

Sulemana Sherif, Head of the CSSPS, explained: “At present, the system is operational. We anticipated high traffic and worked throughout the night to stabilize the system. Some students’ pending placements have now been resolved.”

The Ministry advises parents and students to remain patient and continue accessing the portal or visit a nearby resolution centre if they encounter difficulties.
