Tema: Four individuals arrested for concealing 315 compressed parcels of suspected Indian hemp in vehicle tyres
Four individuals have been apprehended in Tema for possession of 315 compressed parcels of suspected Indian hemp, concealed in vehicle tyres.
The suspects, identified as Nura Sali, 44, Pius Chukwuma, 49, Mustapha Umar, 18, and Abdulai Amayau, 23, were arrested at the Tema Industrial Area by the Tema Community 1 District Police.
The parcels were concealed in the tyres of a truck with registration number GN 7291-16, intercepted during a police operation.
According to a police statement, the suspects were brought before the Ashaiman Circuit Court on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and subsequently remanded into police custody. Their next court appearance is set for September 30, 2025.
Additionally, the truck, registration number GN 7291-16, used for transporting the suspected narcotics, has been impounded under court order for further investigation.
