A woman, believed to be in her mid-30s, has lost her life in a fatal accident at Aboabo in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

According to eyewitness accounts, an unidentified female pedestrian was struck and killed instantly by a large vehicle transporting electrical cables on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

As reported by some eyewitnesses, the deceased was crossing the Airport-Anloga Junction Highway in the vicinity of the Aboabo Post Office area when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Police officers from the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) at the Airport Police Station responded to the incident.

They reported that medical professionals confirmed the deceased’s death, and the body is being held at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
